Right to Remain: Online resources about the process to claim asylum, and your legal rights during this process. The toolkit is available in various languages. Paper copies of the Right to Remain toolkit are available from SYMAAG. Email us: dignitynotdetention@yahoo.co.uk

Asylum Seeker Memorial Project: The Home Office does not publish data on the deaths of people seeking asylum in its housing, despite calls from experts and campaigners to do so. This project aims to gather information about each of the people who have died, and tell their stories.

Stand Up! Speak Out!: A series of training seminars developed by Solidarity Knows No Borders aimed at equipping public sector workers with the practical tools to show up in solidarity with migrants and refugees.

Time to be out: Supports LGBTQ+ people who are claiming or who have claimed asylum in the UK.

The Anti-Raids Network: A loose network of groups and individuals working to build the resistance to immigration raids since 2012 by producing and sharing information and materials in a variety of languages. There is an anti-raids group in Sheffield, we can put you in touch if you are interested in being involved or learning more.

Migrant Help UK: Provides advice, support and resettlement services to people seeking asylum, refugees and victims of slavery and trafficking.

Refugees at home: An organisation that connects people with spare rooms with people who are seeking asylum who are in need of a place to stay.

British Red Cross: The British Red Cross is the UK’s largest independent provider of services and support for refugees and people seeking asylum. They support people from all backgrounds and religions.

If you are a person who is a refugee or seeking asylum in the UK, or if you know someone who is, their teams may be able to support you with emergency help, one-to-one casework, one-off support, information and signposting about where to get help.

They can help with family reunification, family tracing, and support for people who have experienced gender/sexual based violence and trafficking.

There is a British Red Cross Refugee Support Centre in Sheffield. You can contact them at 0114 242 7385  (Open on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10am-2pm)
